    Educators/Business Professionals Infosession: WellSpring School

The Austin Stone will be hosting a special guest from the WellSpring School on July 8th at 7pm (see RSVP info below). Gregg Vossler, Vice President of Education for Wellspring and Leadership Development International will speak about how God is moving in the Muslim world and using WellSpring School to bless a major country in the Middle East. This is a once a year opportunity to connect with Gregg and ask your questions.

If you are just curious about the Muslim world or already have a passion and heart for Muslims you should try to be there.

EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES IN THE MUSLIM WORLD
WellSpring School is a God-centered, K-12 school that uses a western curriculum and is set to launch in the Middle East this Fall. It is a part of a project called the WellSpring Initiative launched by Leadership Development International (LDi).

Opportunities exist for teachers, administrators and business people to serve with the WellSpring Initiative.

There have been some amazing stories about what God is doing in the Middle East and WellSpring School testifies to the great work of our Lord. WellSpring has asked the Lord to bring across their path those with the same DNA and whom He has chosen to join their team. Instead of trying to recruit teachers, administrators, and students - WellSpring tells the story and He stirs the hearts.

    THE AUSTIN STONE AND WELLSPRING
In February 2010, The Austin Stone and LDi began a partnership to provide opportunities for people interested in serving in the Middle East. It is through this partnership that WellSpring hopes to attract like-hearted people wanting to join.

The Austin Stone fully supports and encourages your participation in WellSpring. If you would like more information or just want to explore WellSpring opportunities further this is a great chance to connect.

Serving in China since 1980, LDi operates Christian schools and other educational initiatives such as Chinese teacher training centers, experiential leadership development, language/cultural training centers and consulting services. In 2007, responding to the desire of the Chinese church to take the Gospel ‘back to Jerusalem’, LDi prayerfully began responding to God's calling to begin something new to the west of China. In 2009, through a series of clearly God-directed steps, LDi leadership were led to the Middle East and the WellSpring Initiative was born.

WANTED: Christian Business Owner or Business Manager

WANTED: Christian Business Owner or Business Manager to help create legitimate business ventures that open doors for pioneer church planting among a major unreached people group in Central Asia.

Kingdom-minded business partners are needed among a major unreached people group who import products or components from overseas.  Our pioneer teams set up cottage industries to supply those products.  This creates evangelistic and disciplemaking relationships in areas of the world where no Christian worker has ever gone, withoutincurring the ire of a hostile government.

What’s the Kingdom impact of such a business relationship?

Twenty percent of the world - 1.5 billion people - have never heard the gospel the first time.  These people are not “hardened,” they simply never heard; and, they never will without a way to reach them.

    These business ventures:

    • Establish churches in areas where no Christian has ever been

By leveraging the work you already do, you would be part of reaching people who’ve never heard-- facilitating evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and training national leaders.

    • Reduce poverty

You would help establish local businesses- not sweat shops- but locally owned cottage industries that lift people out of poverty and give them and their families hope.

    • Prevent human trafficking and the slave sex trade

No child ever aspires to become a prostitute.  Through sheer poverty young women are desperate enough to believe there’s a modeling career waiting for them in another country.  In one of our countries, half the men have left to find work and send money back for their families.  Many of them will never return as they’ve entered rings that barter human lives.

The formula is simple: Take away poverty through honest work, and add the good news of Jesus Christ. You will be using your business skills to partner with pioneer missionaries to transform societies and give people the only opportunity they will ever have for eternal life.

For an appropriate business partner, the business team will set up and operate an office that will:

    • Teach unreached peoples how to make needed products, and run their own cottage industry business. This provides missionaries access to cities and towns where no Christians have ever gone.
    • Provide training, oversight and quality control in producing the goods that you already market.
    • Facilitate import of equipment necessary for local cottage industries.
    • Ensure that quality meets the demands of the U.S. business partner.
    • Negotiate contracts in the country for the U.S. business partner.
    • Manage and inspect the storage and packaging of exported products.
    • Provide ongoing training of small business owners to improve quality of products.
    • Negotiate with transport companies and manage shipment of goods.
